'Not engaging doesn't change anything,' Nova Scotia premier says of China

Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil says he looks forward to continuing to build economic ties between his province and China, even though he opposes that country's ongoing detention of two Canadian citizens. Last week, Nova Scotia announced it would welcome two direct charter flights carrying more than 200 tourists from China next fall. McNeil, who sat down with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Ottawa on Tuesday, says not engaging with China doesn't change anything.
