An RAF Corporal delivers a lecture on mooring a barrage balloon to WAAF's. Practically all balloon sites will be operated by women only as more are trained to replace men. The women are trained by RAF instructors at a school where they are taught on practice war sites with model balloons.

In a statement the Palace said that the the Princess died at 6.30am in the King Edward VII Hospital, London.
