June 16, 2024, Jisr Az-Zarqa, Israel: (EDITORS NOTE: Image contains graphic content) .Separation of sheep's skin and wool after the ritual of sacrifice performed by Muslim communities on Eid Al Adha. Muslim communities in Israel celebrate the important holiday Eid Al Adha, also known as the ''Feast of Sacrifice''. The holiday commemorates Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son to God, according to Muslim tradition. On this day, Eid prayer is performed after sunrise, followed by a visit to the local cemetery where the worshipers pay respect to their late family members. After the visit to the cemetery, families return home and perform the ritual of sacrifice of cattle, usually sheep, as a symbol of Abraham's sacrifice. The meat of the animal is then divided between the family, friends, and those in need. (Credit Image: © Sharon Eilon/SOPA Images via ZUMA Press Wire)
