Afghan family finds home in Peterborough, Ont.

Parwaiz Hamidy, his wife Rahima Hamidy and their two young boys have chosen to settle down in Peterborough, Ont. after arriving in Canada as refugees from Afghanistan. The family applied to come to Canada under a special program the federal government announced in the summer to resettle 20,000 Afghan refugees. The government doubled its commitment to 40,000 last month.
