    B.C. COVID-19 restrictions extended into the new year

    Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says the holidays will look different this year as restrictions on hosting or visiting people from different households is prohibited until Jan. 8. The announcement came as Henry reported another 35 people have died after contracting the illness, bringing the death toll in B.C. to 527.
