Closure imposed on assisted-dying bill debate

With the support of the Bloc Québécois, the minority Liberal government moved to ensure a bill to expand access to medical assistance in dying is put to a final vote Thursday in the House of Commons. Justice Minister David Lametti says obstruction by the Opposition Conservatives has bogged down Bill C-7 for too long, and that now it can move on to the Senate.
