    Crowds stand in cold rain to remember the Halifax Explosion

    A large crowd turned out on Wednesday to commemorate the Halifax Explosion, which led to the deaths of an estimated 2,000 people 100 years ago. Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil says the catastrophic event was a “defining moment.”
