Government, opposition parties strike deal to pass wage subsidy bill

The Trudeau government has struck a deal with opposition parties to swiftly approve a massive $73-billion wage subsidy program aimed at helping businesses and workers survive the COVID-19 pandemic. The leaders of the Conservative, NDP Bloc Quebecois parties say they will support the wage subsidy bill and are each claiming credit for making some improvements to it.
