Halifax digs out after weekend snowstorm rocks the region

Halifax residents were digging out after a weekend snowstorm hit the region. Preliminary reports show that between 30 and 50 cm of snow fell across the city, but 84 cm was reported at Halifax Stanfield International Airport only 30 kilometres away. Schools were closed across Nova Scotia, and government offices delayed opening or closed for the day, except in the western municipalities, where the snowfall was much lighter. (Feb. 5, 2024)
