A longtime Juventus defender Gianluca Pessotto fell from a window at the offices of the Turin-based club Tuesday June 27, 2006 and was hospitalized in serious condition, Italian news agencies reported. Pessotto, 35, has also played with the national team. He has played for about a decade with Juventus, the Italian powerhouse now implicated in a massive match-fixing scandal.
