Inflation cooled to 2.3% in March as gas prices fell, StatCan says

Statistics Canada reported the annual inflation rate slowed to 2.3 per cent for the month, down from 2.6 per cent in February and lower than economists' expectations. StatCan said falling gas prices were a big factor, as were a drop in prices for travel. (April 15, 2025)
