(MTL 111) MONTREAL, Sept. 1--A monarch butterfly is tagged as part of a University of Kansas City project prior to be released at Montreal's Insecterium Tuesday. The monarch butterfly migrates to northern Mexico flying at an everage speed of 32 km/h travelling 80 to 120 kilometres per day for the 4,000 kilometre journey. The only migrant butterfly in North America will return in March with four or five new generations born along the way. (CP PHOTO) 1998 (stf/Paul Chiasson)
