Models show first wave of COVID-19 subsiding in N.L.

Dr. Proton Rahman, a clinical scientist and professor of medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland, says it’s reasonable to look at reducing some public health measures in controlled phases as models show that COVID-19 transmission is under control in Newfoundland and Labrador. Health Minister John Haggie says the province is looking at developing an app that would trace COVID-19 patients’ contacts digitally, as officials plan for future outbreaks.
