NACI recommends boosters for people over 50

The National Advisory Committee on Immunization now strongly recommends booster shots of COVID-19 vaccines for people over the age of 50 and also suggested a booster dose may be offered to people 18 to 49 years old. Chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam also says NACI is now recommending the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine over the Moderna shot for adolescents and young adults due to the rare risk of myocarditis.
