NASCAR New Hampshire Auto Racing

FILE - In this Feb. 14, 1965, file photo, Fred Lorenzen, of Elmhurst, Ill., gives a victory wave after winning the Daytona 500 mile stock car auto race which was halted by rain at the end of 133 laps, in Daytona Beach, Fla. He was one of NASCAR's first superstars, but Lorenzen’s memories of his Hall of Fame career have dimmed as he battles dementia. Now, Lorenzen has pledged his brain to the Concussion Legacy Foundation. He joins Dale Earnhardt Jr. as the only NASCAR drivers to make the pledge. (AP Photo/File)
