    Newsroom Ready: B.C. law to recover health costs targets social media giants

    The B.C. government has introduced legislation to recover the health costs from companies whose products cause harms. Premier David Eby says the bill is similar to the law that allows it to recover costs from tobacco and opioid manufacturers, but now includes social media companies and producers of products like energy drinks. (March 14, 2024)
