    Newsroom Ready: Conservatives press Liberals over latest ethics breach by MP

    The Opposition Conservatives hammered the Liberal Government during Question Period on the violation by Quebec MP Greg Fergus, who serves as parliamentary secretary to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The federal ethics commissioner ruled Fergus broke the Conflict of Interest Act by intervening in a matter with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, a quasi-judicial tribunal.
