Newsroom Ready: Despite gaps, economic-relief package for COVID-19 is biggest in history, Freeland says

The immense financial measures to cushion the hit from the COVID-19 pandemic are being rolled out as fast as the government can prepare them, says Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland. Though the multibillion-dollar Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) is set to expire after four months, Freeland says there will be more money backing more programs if Canadians need them.
