Newsroom Ready: Feds condemn Ontario’s ‘pre-emptive’ use of notwithstanding clause

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says all politicians should be concerned about Ontario’s decision to invoke the notwithstanding clause to pre-emptively stop any legal challenges over imposing a contract on 55,000 education workers. Justice Minister David Lametti and Labour Minister Seamus O’Regan say they are discussing what the federal government can do about it.
