Newsroom Ready: Lewis says MPs shouldn't 'meddle' with Bank of Canada, Charest calls debate 'unusual'

Six Conservative leadership candidates faced off in Edmonton during the first official debate Wednesday. Ontario MP Leslyn Lewis, former Quebec premier Jean Charest and Patrick Brown, mayor of Brampton, Ont., spoke to reporters after it was over. All three took aim at longtime Conservative Pierre Poilievre, presumed front-runner in the race.
