Canada’s envoy on preventing antisemitism says a rampant surge in anti-Jewish sentiment has made this year's annual Holocaust remembrance ceremony in Ottawa even more poignant. Deborah Lyons says there was a sense of foreboding ahead of this year's ceremony because of Hamas's brutal attack on Israel on Oct. 7 and subsequent acts of hate towards Jewish people around the world.
