Newsroom Ready: Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale announces plans for flood relief

The federal government is giving the Red Cross a $2.5 million grant to support flood recovery efforts in eastern Canada. Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale says the grant will support emergency services in affected communities, including temporary lodging, clothing, food and other essential supplies.
