Party leaders pledge to fight military sex misconduct, but differ on how

Federal leaders are united in their commitment to fight sexual misconduct in Canada’s military, but divided on the right approach. Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole committed to creating an independent watchdog, Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau promised he'd act on the recommendations of retired Supreme Court justice Louise Arbour, while NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said he'd implement the recommendation of another former Supreme Court justice to establish an independent centre to monitor the military’s handling of cases.
