Residential school drama ‘Bones of Crows’ explores ongoing legacy of trauma

Filmmaker Marie Clements says the discovery of unmarked child graves at the location where residential school drama "Bones of Crows" was shot made the film's message all the more urgent. Actors Grace Dove and Alyssa Wapanatâhk say they hope the film's portrayal of this shameful chapter in Canada's history resonates with Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities alike. It opens in theatres Friday. (June 1, 2023)
