Romanian firefighters were battling wildfires with helicopters and trucks on Tuesday as flames blazed through hundreds of hectares of vegetation and forest cover. In eastern Romania, a Blackhawk helicopter sprayed water over a smouldering fire near the town of Niculitel, while elsewhere firefighters used small boats to target burning vegetation in the Danube Delta.
