Trudeau responds to info czar’s call for PMO to fall under access law

The federal information watchdog is calling for the offices of the prime minister and other cabinet members to be included under the Access to Information Act, which is something Justin Trudeau promised to do in the 2015 election campaign but backed away from after assuming power. Trudeau defends the government’s initial changes to the system but acknowledges a wider review is underway.
