Germany Reagan Memorial

**FILE** In this June 26, 1963 file photo President John F. Kennedy delivers his famous speech "I am a Berliner" ("ich bin ein Berliner") in front of the city hall in West Berlin. Far right is the mayor in office of West Berlin Willy Brandt. In contrast to Reagan's five-hour visit in 1987, Kennedy's visit is remembered quite differently. He stood in front of a city building in the Schoeneburg neighborhood and declared "Ich bin ein Berliner," a legendary statement of solidarity with besieged West Berliners, who greeted him with exultation.
