It was reported that she died Thursday March 25, 2010 at her home in southern Germany. Noelle-Neumann learned George Gallup's method of representative polling as a student in the U.S. After World War II, she and her husband set up the Allensbach Institute in 1947 and developed it into a major player in West Germany.
