White House Christmas Vignettes

FILE - In this Dec. 24, 1984, file photo President Ronald Reagan and first lady Nancy Reagan have a new guest for its first Christmas, their dog Lucky, as it checks the gifts with the Reagan's in front of the family quarter's tree at the White House in Washington. In 1981, Reagan caught Nancy Reagan under the "kissing ball" of mistletoe that hung in the Grand Foyer, but Reagan's allergies couldn't handle some of the other floral arrangements, and the plants had to be exiled to spots in the White House that the president rarely visited.
