Spring Art Auctions

FILE - This Aug. 11, 1930, file photo show Huguette Clark in Reno, Nev. Clark, a Montana copper mining heiress who died in 2011, was the daughter of U.S. Sen. William A. Clark who founded Las Vegas. Art works from her estate will be sold during the spring sale of impressionist and modern art that begins in New York Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Christie’s. Among the top lots from the Clark collection is Claude Monet’s shimmering "Water Lilies." The 1907 work of Monet’s beloved garden in Giverny, France, has not been publicly exhibited since 1926 and is estimated to sell for $25 million to $35 million. (AP Photo, File)
