Briere Retires Hockey

FILE - In this Nov. 23, 2011, file photo, Philadelphia Flyers' Danny Briere (48) celebrates scoring the winning goal in overtime of an NHL hockey game against the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y. Briere, the undersized center who went on to become an NHL All-Star and keyed the Philadelphia Flyers' run to the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals, has retired. Briere ended a 17-year career on Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, that saw him play for the Phoenix Coyotes, Buffalo Sabres, Flyers, Montreal Canadiens and Colorado Avalanche. (AP Photo/Paul J. Bereswill)
