Medical Marijuana 20131008

Dried cannabis plants are sorted at the Farmacy in south-west Quebec on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013. Health Canada is terminating its medicinal marijuana program that permits patients to grow their own cannabis; by April 2014, gardens like the one at the Farmacy will be outlawed. Patients will have to purchase their supply from approved and licensed suppliers, a move that advocates say will increase the cost and drive medical marijuana users underground.
