July 14, 2022, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada: A fire official in Vancouver, B.C. closes the site where a rooftop parking deck collapsed July 14 onto an office space below. Rescue crews worked more than 36 hours in search of one person reported missing, whom family identified to local media as Ben Sotelo. Around 10:30 pm the next day police said a body was recovered from the site. According to fire officials the deck collapsed under the weight of a loader, creating a hole about nine by 12 metres.
