FILE - This undated file photo shows John Hancock's signature on the Declaration of Independence, which was formally signed by 56 members of Congress beginning Aug. 2, 1776. National Public Radio marked Independence Day on July 4th, 2017, by tweeting the entire declaration, but it seems some Twitter users didn’t recognize what they were reading. Some of the founders’ criticisms of King George III were met with angry responses from supporters of President Donald Trump, who seemed to believe the tweets were a reference to the current president. Others were under the impression NPR was trying to provoke Trump with the tweets. (AP Photo, File)
This undated engraving shows the scene on July 4, 1776 when the Declaration of Independence, drafted by Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Philip Livingston and Roger Sherman, was approved by the Continental Congress in Philadelphia. The words "all men are created equal” are invoked often but are difficult to define. (AP Photo)

Actor Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle is seen in a 1920 photo, location unknown. Arbuckle was the defendant in a 1921 trial in which the comic superstar was charged with manslaughter when an actress died after a wild party involving allegations of rape by the overweight actor. Two juries deadlocked and a third acquitted Arbuckle, declairing a great injustice had been done to him. (AP Photo)
