MUSIC-RUSHCON

Members of the rock group "Rush", Alex Lifeson, Geddy Lee, and Neil Peart (left to right) display their Order of Canada medals which were presented to them at a ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa on Wednesday Feb. 2, 1997. They put Canada on the hard rock map and now their fans are giving Toronto’s best-loved power trio a little something back. The first major North American convention for fans of Rush takes place this weekend in Toronto. Though the band isn’t involved in the project, organizershave arranged contests, Rush karaoke, a talent showcase, guest speakers and a charity auction, all in the name of celebrating Rush’s music.
