QUE-MI'KMAQ

(XLUS 104) LISTUGUJ, Que., Aug.6 -- A Mi'kmaq, of Listuguj, Que., sits by a fire, guarding a road block Thursday evening, blocking the main highway to Gaspe peninsula. The traditionalist Mi'kmaqs erected the road block to force the Quebec government to negotiate wood cutting agreements with them. (CP PHOTO) 1998 (stf/Jacques Boissinot)
