Doolittle Raiders Final Toast Photo Gallery

FILE - In this April 19, 1963 file photo, Gen. Jimmy Doolittle, right center, stands in a moment of silent prayer with Brig. Gen. John A. Hilger after laying a wreath at a Seattle memorial for World War II dead. Doolittle, who led the war’s first bombing raid on Tokyo 21 years ago, arrived in Seattle to join 25 of his raiders, standing in salute during the ceremony, for their 21st annual reunion. Thousands of visitors streamed to the national Air Force museum on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 to pay a Veterans Day weekend tribute to the few surviving members of the Doolittle Raiders, airmen whose daring raid on Japan helped boost American morale during World War II, as they planned to make their ceremonial final toast together. Only four of the 80 Raiders are still living, and one was unable to attend because of health issues. (AP Photo)
