Aruba All Star Drowns Basketball

FILE - This April 30, 1985 file photo shows Detroit Pistons' Dan Roundfield, right, passing the ball as Boston Celtics' Robert Parish, left, defends, during an NBA basketball game in Boston. Former NBA All-Star Dan Roundfield has drowned while swimming off the Caribbean island of Aruba. Aruba police spokesman John Larmonie says Roundfield and his wife were caught in strong currents Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, while swimming beyond a protected reef area on the southeastern tip of the island. Roundfield helped his wife to safety but then the current swept away the 59-year-old former player. Roundfield's sister-in-law, Julia Roundfield, of Detroit, confirmed the athlete's death to The Associated Press. (AP Photo/Mike Kullen, File)
