SABRES-FLASHBACK

Philadelphia Flyers Bobby Clarke, left, skates by Buffalo goalie Gerry Desjardins after Clarke scored the Flyers second goal, in the second game of the final, on May 15, 1975 in Philadelphia. After making it all the way to the Stanley Cup final, expectations soared. But Buffalo was eliminated in the second round by the New York Islanders in 1976 and in 1977 and by the Flyers in 1978.
