Mets Swododas Catch Baseball

** ADVANCE FOR WEEKEND EDITIONS JAN. 31-FEB. 1 ** FILE ** In this Oct. 15, 1969 file photo, New York Mets right fielder Ron Swoboda makes a diving catch for an out on a line drive hit Baltimore Orioles' Brooks Robinson during the ninth inning of baseball's World Series New York. Swoboda had a .242 career batting average, never hit 20 home runs in a single season and was considered to be nothing more than ordinary in the outfield. His sense of timing, however, was impeccable. Playing on baseball's grandest stage, Swoboda made the best play of his life. (AP Photo/File)
