NEDO NADI

Nedo Nadi of Italy, recognized as the greatest of living fencers, appears before an American audience at the New York Athletic Club on January 30, 1930, for the first time in an exhibition sabre bout against George Santelli, formerly of Budapest. Santelli coached the 1928 United States Olympic Fencing team. The Italian fencer, who has won five Olympic gold medals, is on a tour of American cities, where he will give exhibitions. (AP Photo)
