ENDEAVOUR
THE ENGLISH HOPE UNDER SAIL
Graceful as a swan, T. O. M. Sopwith's challenger for the America's Cup. Endeavour is pictured during her maiden sail-stretching trial off Gosport, England, last week. The big cutter, with her towering steel mast, is moving along fast and smoothly under her mainsall, foresail, and jib in a light southwesterly breeze. The first trials proved the Endeavour a worthy challenger for the blue ribbon yachting trophy the United states has held for three quarters of a century.

CORRECTS DATE TO JULY 1934, NOT DECEMBER 1934 - FILE - In this July 1934 file photo, people view the body of gangster John Dillinger in a Chicago morgue. Two relatives of notorious 1930s gangster John Dillinger who plan to have his remains exhumed say they have "evidence" the body buried in an Indianapolis cemetery beneath a gravestone bearing his name may not be him and that FBI agents possibly killed someone else in 1934.
