December 29, 2023, Rome, Italy: The camp in front of Palazzo Montecitorio, seat of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Republic, set up since last October 17 by Mrs. Laura Funaro, a 76-year-old from Turin, former employee of the Italian Post Office and with 48 years of work behind her. On the tent there are the phrases ''hunger strike continues, thirst strike postponed for now'' and on the ground a large sheet of paper shows a series of articles of law and some of its motivations. She protests because she claims to be the victim of violations of constitutional rights which have caused, among other things, a reduction in her pension allowance of approximately 1/3.
