PETE ROSE JR

** ADVANCE FOR WEEKEND EDITIONS, DEC. 10-11 ** FILE ** Pete Rose stands with his son, Pete Rose Jr., right, inside Cinergy Field, in this Sept. 23, 2002 photo, in Cincinnati. For the first time since 1986, Rose Sr. will step into the batter's box at Cinergy Field and take his hacks, in a celebrity softball game to mark the stadium's closing. The comparisons were inevitable from the day he was born. Peter Edward Rose had his famous father's name, and, as he grew older, a stocky build so similar that looking at the son was like seeing an earlier version of the father. And, of course, the same all-consuming passion for baseball.(AP Photo/David Kohl)
