GERMANY SAP ORACLE

** FILE ** A man walks past the Oracle office in Redwood Shores, Calif., Dec. 13, 2004. Software company SAP AG said Tuesday, July 3, 2007, that one of its units made "some inappropriate downloads," as it responded to a lawsuit filed by rival Oracle Corp. that alleged corporate theft. But Walldorf-based SAP said it got no access to Oracle's intellectual property, even as Chief Executive Henning Kagermann said he was keeping "all options open" in regard to settling the case. Oracle has accused SAP of "corporate theft on a grand scale" _ blunt language that underscores the increasingly cutthroat battle between the two rivals. Oracle has claimed that SAP trespassed on its computers to obtain secret product information so it would have a better chance to reel in new customers. (AP Photo/Noah Berger)
