Philadelphia Skyscraper

FILE -This Feb. 23, 2010 file photo, shows a gold record of Philadelphia native Teddy Pendergrass that was recovered in the aftermath of a fire at Philadelphia International Records in Philadelphia. Officials said the two-alarm fire destroyed about 40 percent of the memorabilia but spared the recording studio that gave birth to the "Sound of Philadelphia." Developer Carl Dranoff wants to construct a 47-story building on the studio site called SLS International that would be part hotel, part luxury condos. The project in the heart of downtown would require demolishing the longtime home of Philadelphia International Records. (AP Photo/Matt Rourke, File)
