OBIT RIEFENSTAHL

Leni Riefenstahl, center, stands with Adolf Hitler, right, and Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels, foreground left, at her Berlin mansion on March 10, 1938. Riefenstahl, whose depiction of Hitler's Nuremberg rally, "Triumph of the Will," was renowned and despised as the best propaganda film ever made, has died. She was 101. Riefenstahl died Monday night, Sept. 8, 2003, at her home in the Bavarian lakeside town of Poecking, Germany, mayor Rainer Schnitzler said. Also shown in background are Bertha, Leni's mother, and Heinz Reifenstahl, Leni's brother. (AP Photo)
