OBIT BERLE

Milton Berle, right, and his wife at the time, Joyce, are among 15,000 fans at the second annual Esquire All American baseball game at the Polo Grounds in New York City at night on Aug. 29, 1945. Berle, the acerbic, cigar-smoking vaudevillian who eagerly embraced a new medium and became ``Mr. Television'' in the dawn of the video age, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at home in Los Angekes, a spokesman said. He was 93. (AP Photo)
