OBIT HIRSCHFELD
Artist Al Hirschfeld stands in front of a collection of his famous caricature drawings at his New York townhouse in this August 1991 photo. Hirschfeld, whose graceful, fluid caricatures captured the essence of performers from Charlie Chaplin to Jerry Seinfeld, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003. He was 99.
