YEAR Diary Photos

A massive rock slide blocks the Sea-to-Sky highway near Porteau Cove, B.C. , Wedensday July 30, 2008 after a entire cliff face collapsed onto the highway late Tuesday night. The rockslide has severed the only direct route between Vancouver and Whistler and will be the main corridor to thousands of people from around the world between venues during the 2010 Olympic Games. The highway is expected to be closed for several days. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Jonathan Hayward
